In a world full of chaos and uncertainty, sometimes the best thing we can do for each other is to find ways to quiet our minds and calm our souls.  I find that peace through being creative, while I’m crafting or journaling, and by keeping my surroundings organized.  Shades of Zen is how I share my passions with others in hopes of encouraging everyone to have more peace in their days.

Shades of Zen started with a simple belief - that there is magic in making something from nothing!  That crafting isn't reserved for retirees, bored housewives, and middle school girls.  And that creativity isn't a gift that you are either born with or without.  No, creative making is a skill that anyone can learn and with a little practice, you will be amazed what you can do!
